Got questions? We’ve got all the answers right here!

HOW DO YOU PREPARE THE SURFACE FOR CORK BOARD INSTALLATION?

Ensure the surface is flat, clean, and completely dry. The adhesive backing works best on smooth, dust-free areas, such as drywall or furniture panels.

HOW LONG SHOULD YOU LET CORK BOARDS ACCLIMATE?

Allow 72 hours for acclimation before installation. This gives the cork time to adjust to the room’s temperature and humidity.

What happens if you skip this step? Cork may shrink or expand after being installed, leading to peeling or detachment. We’ve seen many customers face this issue when rushing the process, ultimately requiring reinstallation. Save yourself the trouble by giving cork the time it needs to settle!

CAN CORK BOARDS BE INSTALLED ON UNEVEN SURFACES?

No, they adhere best to smooth, even surfaces. On rough or uneven walls, the panels are likely to peel or fall off over time.

IS FINE-GRAINED CORK SUITABLE FOR WALL INSULATION?

Fine-grained cork can help reduce wall chill, but it’s primarily decorative and not ideal for insulation. For better insulation, opt for thicker, coarse-grained sheets (10 mm or more) or expanded cork.

Glue application, waiting, sticky hands, and cleaning tools – sound familiar? Self-adhesive cork boards eliminate all that hassle. Just peel, stick, and enjoy a quick and clean installation.

Unlike foam or vinyl, the smooth surface of fine-grained cork doesn’t attract dust. Its antistatic properties make cleaning a breeze. All you need is a damp cloth and mild soap – cleanup has never been easier!

These cork boards are incredibly versatile, used for crafting promotional items like coasters, as well as for technical uses like gaskets, pads, or shoe linings. Their flexibility and resistance to crumbling make them perfect for cutting or milling. The adhesive layer ensures effortless bonding with materials like paper or cardboard.

While plastic sticks around in landfills for decades, cork naturally decomposes. It’s sustainable, renewable, and 100% natural. Fun fact: producing cork stoppers – one of cork’s most famous uses – requires less than a quarter of the energy compared to manufacturing plastic or aluminum closures. A win for the planet!
