Natural Latex - its uses
Liquid latex is recommended in particular for bonding natural cork, but not only, as it can cope with particularly demanding applications! Elements and surfaces made of cork, felt, PU foam, cardboard and natural materials can all be handled by latex binder. Liquid latex is widely used in the manufacture and repair of items made of leather and in the footwear industry, and latex milk for lining linings and joining bottoms. Applying latex glue – how to do it?
Before use, read the label and instructions for the product and apply the liquid latex using e.g., a brush, a gun or a latex roller. Based on the material and the effect you want to achieve, apply the glue in one or two glued layers, making sure to apply the layer of latex binder evenly. Wash off any glue stains that appear during application immediately with water. The adhesive has an open time of approximately 15 minutes and the amount of latex milk used depends on what it is being used on.
Storing liquid latex
Natural Latex comes in handy packaging that allows for easy storage and transport of the product. Store the latex binder in a dry and cool place (up to 12 months). Make certain you protect the latex from freezing – it cannot be used when frozen – and always screw the cap back on correctly and tightly. Store the product out of the reach of children.
